Hello! Boy they weren't kidding when they said a MAJOR snow storm was on the way! The winds howled all night and we awoke to all our windows spattered with snow. I feel like I am living in an igloo! And it's not over yet. I'd say we have gotten a minimum of 12" or more so far.
Aren't these cards fun? I saw the tutorial and just had to try them. I'm going to give the brown one to my niece for her 22nd birthday. When I first read the tutorial I was a little confused so I watched the video and it is really easy! I can't wait to make some more! Thanks for stopping by. Keep warm if you are in this storm. Great day for crafting!! Here's a link to the tutorial.

Hello & Happy Thursday!
Well our little taste of spring is gone (sigh) and we are now back to the doldrums of winter with more snow on the way! Even though I am tired of it..yesterday when you looked outside it was just BEAUTIFUL. The ice glistening on the trees...the soft white clumps of snow on the branches..lovely!
I needed to make some sympathy cards. Never enough in my stash. I bought this Calla Lily stamp at Archiver's. I paper pieced the flower to give it some dimension. I am very happy with the results. Thanks for coming by for a little visit and I will see you soon OK?!

Hello! I tried this idea I saw on Splitcoast. Aren't they fun? They are called "canopy cards". The one I saw had bakery in the window but the options are endless! Truly was a fun couple of cards to make. Would have posted earlier but the computer was being WONKY again. I got mad and shut it off. When I turned it back on now it was working fine. Go figure!
My brother's surgery went well. He is on the road to recovery now. My son's test..not so much...didn't pass but is determined to try again! Family stuff? Too much drama for me. Such a roller coaster ride that seems never ending...All I can say is Calgon, take me away. (I know, I'm dating myself with that one!) Well, until next time...Happy Crafting!

Thursday, February 17, 2011 new projects to share. It has been a rough couple of days. My Brother is in surgery right now and it is pretty major. I am nervous and waiting for the word on how it went. He's in Tennessee so I wasn't able to be there with him.My son is taking a very important test today to get his Paramedic card. I am also going thru some tough stuff here at home. I hope to get to my craft area this afternoon. That is a great stress reliever for me. So bear with me. I should have something to share with you tomorrow. (fingers crossed)

Sunday share

Hi...This is the cry of my heart today. I will be back tomorrow with some cards to share!

As you can see I had a very productive day yesterday! I was playing with my Cricut Imagine. I really want to LOVE it but so far I only LIKE it. It doesn't do exactly what I want it to do. I have re calibrated it several times and still have some issues. Hopefully I can figure it out so I will really enjoy using it instead of getting frustrated. It has sooo much potential!! I did make all these cards so I am learning! Every one of them has several layers & are popped up but it is hard to see that in the photos. I added some glitter & Stickles to a few.
Thanks for stopping. Come back soon!

TGIF!!! I am tired of the snow & longing for spring. Can you tell? I bought these stickers from K & Co. a little while ago. I decided yesterday that I wanted to make some cards with them. It came with 8 seed packets so I still have a few more to make. Hope you enjoy seeing my cards & let's hope that snow is over with now. Enjoy your day. Thanks for stopping!

Hello! Surviving in this winter weather that is causing havoc all over the US? So far here it is manageable but according to the news, the worst is still on it's way!
I have been a busy bee! I made 8 pks. of cards for the soldiers children. Each pack contains 8 cards. It is for them to use to keep in contact with their parent while they are away. Just a small way to let them know how much we appreciate their service!
I also made 24 baby shower favors. Glad my "projects" are out of the way. Now maybe I can just "play". I have the Cricut Imagine machine but haven't really sat down & figured it all out so that is something on my list to get to. Gonna take a quick nap & then gonna check it out.
Have a great day!
