Hello & Happy Friday! Hope it finds you well & with lots of plans for the holiday weekend! This card was made for a fellow blogger's sister. This is what she wrote on her blog about her sister Jayme...

She is in her early 50's and has terminal lung cancer. To make it worse, her sweet dachshund Molly passed away a couple weeks ago. Today we learned her cancer has spread to several other areas and her time is running out. I am asking for all my card making friends to send her a fun card...not really get well cards obviously, but something pretty or funny that will make her smile. She is a frog collector so frog cards would be awesome!

To read more about this you can go to Lisa's blog. The image I used was one created special for this by Whimsy stamps..You can download it here. I hope all the cards created for her will bring a smile to her face. Life can be so rough at times and there isn't much we can do. If you think about it please say a prayer for her & her family. Thank you! Blessings!

Monday, Monday... Good Morning! Enjoying sunshine where you are? It is beautiful here today!
I was playing some more with my Cricut and the Create a Critter cartridge. Everything on there is cutesy! And we all know I love cutesy! The skunk card is dedicated to a lady from my stamp group. She always says "Stinkin Cute" about everything we do. She is teaching at next month's meeting and I am going to surprise her with this card and supplies for everyone to make one. I don't know why..but I am not fond of that phrase so it is a running joke every class when she says it! Thanks for taking a quick peek today & see you soon!

Hello my long lost friends! I finally got to get out my Magnolias and play! This image is one of my very favorites. She can be purchased here. The cards are so sparkly in real life! I used silver mirror cardstock on both of them. The top one reflected yellow from somewhere but it is really silver. I made some more flowers with my Nellie Snellen punches...so fun. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend. Its warm & sunny here. See you soon.

Hi...Happy middle of the week! The sun is shining here...no more rain! YAY!
Today's card is one I designed for an upcoming class. I used colors that I wouldn't normally reach for but I like how it turned out. It's such a FUN card...I think it would put a smile on who's ever face that received it. The stamp is from The Artful Stamper. I embossed the background with large polka dots . I added some clear glaze to parts of the flowers and a little sparkle to the butterfly. The sentiment was typed up on my computer. The strip with the red flowers on it was in the clearance bin at my local craft store. It is clear plastic with the glossy red flowers on it. I thought it would go perfectly with this stamp. I attached it by using glue dots hidden behind the flowers. Makes me look at this kind of scrapbook "paper" in a new way! I have a few more ideas to try out with it...
Have a Fabulous day and thanks for stopping!

Monday, Monday... It's raining, it's pouring... What a dreary day! But a good day for us stampers. I hope to get a lot done today. I have class tomorrow so I have to finish that then I want to "play" with my Maggies. They are feeling very neglected...

Today's card is one we are doing in class tomorrow. I can't claim it as my own design though. On one of our trips we saw it & I just loved it! I think it was on display at Stamp Your Art Out. The stamp is by Great Impressions. I just love that it looks like a little flower shop! There is some glitter on it but it isn't showing up in the photo. The flower accents were made with my Nellie Snellen punches...so fun! I added some very sparkly centers to the flowers.

I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was very busy. Yesterday I went to see Grease with Taylor Hicks as the "Teen Angel". It was so good. Love the music! Made you want to sing along. A friend gave me her ticket since she knew I would really enjoy it. How nice was that of her?!!Went to Olive Garden after and had my all time favorite cheese cake. What a good day!

See you soon.

Hi friends! Quick post today. Going to help "college girl" move back home for the summer. I'm just hoping she is packed when I get there. I have visions of nothing being packed & ready to go...
This year went by so fast! It seems like just yesterday I was crying because she was leaving. My how time flies!
Today's card was made with my Cricut and the Pagoda cartridge. My friend sent me one she had made with the panda but it was a standing panda. Gave me inspiration to try this cartridge. Looks like there are some cool images on it. Never seems like there are enough hours in the day to do/try everything I want to do! I hope to get some time later today to explore the cartridge a little more.
Have a good one...see you soon!

Monday, Monday.... Seems like it has been forever since I have been here. It's been a busy, busy week with classes, my birthday & Mother's day! But a good kind of busy! Haven't crafted much but I did get time to make a few thank you cards. These were made with my Cricut & with the Create a Critter cartridge. I just LOVE this cartridge. Everything is soooo cute! All the papers are from my scrap bin. Thanks for stopping and I hope you have a good start to a wonderful week. May it be filled with many blessings! See you soon.

Hi! It's a wonderful day today! Why? Because it's my birthday and I'm being taken out for lunch! Yummy! My daughter informed me that I'm not over the hill yet but it's coming close! She called me a midnight last night to sing me Happy Birthday. Scared me though at first when I saw the caller ID. Thought something was wrong!
Last night a friend & I took a class on a technique that I have never done. It was using gold leaf. It was fun! I came home & played a little and this is what I came up with. It is very shiny & sparkly in real life but can't get it to show up in the picture. I used a brass stencil to apply the glue for the flower. The side punch is a Martha Stewart punch and the small swirls & flowers are from an EK Success punch. Added a little silver glitter to the middle of the tiny flowers. It still needed a little something so I added the black button to tie it all together.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hello! April showers bring May flowers! This is a card I made for my friend for her birthday. She
loves spring flowers so I thought this would be perfect. It is by Northwood stamps and I bought it at a used stamp sale. The butterflies were made with a Stampin up embossing die. I added pearls for the bodies of the butterflies.
I am out of breath! My bigger dog got out & chased some unsuspecting kid putting out lawn care fliers. I was afraid he would bite him so I told the kid not to run. Finally caught him but have a few war wounds on my arm. We have a love/hate relationship. He is from a puppy mill and the vet thinks he has mental problems. He can be so sweet but can turn on me like a dime. Word of warning...Don't buy a puppy from the mall pet stores. I was told he was bought from the Amish..little did I know they are one of the biggest "puppy mills" there are! I just keep telling him he is lucky he is so cute!
Thanks for coming by today. Hope you have a great afternoon!

Hello~ Happy National Scrapbooking Day! I won't be doing any scrapbooking today but plan on making some cards for a friend. Still playing with my Cricut! This card was made with the Wedding Solutions cartridge. I got it for free with my rewards points. All the papers I used are sparkly. The background paper is silver & white and is shiny but it doesn't show up that way in the photo. Used my Nellie Snellen flower punches again to add some romantic flowers with pearl centers. I embossed the background & popped up the happy couple for some dimension. Thanks for coming by. Have a wonderful day!
