Happy Saturday!

Hello! I have some fun images to share with you today. They are from C.C.Designs and are available at www.Allthatscraps.com. They can be purchased as rubber stamps or you can buy them digitally. The great thing about the digital stamps is you don't have to wait (instant gratification) and you can print them out in any size! I think they are adorable with a capital A!!
I colored them then cut most of them out & pop dotted them up. The sun & sand castle were cut out with my Cricut & the Doodlecharms cartridge. I used some chalk on the castle to make it stand out more. I also used my glitter pen to add some subtle sparkle. I blushed all their cheeks with chalk. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great day.

Good Morning. Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I have just been very busy & unable to post. This card is another Magnolia card. Can you tell I just am in love with Magnolia stamps? You can purchase them at http://www.magnoliastamps.us/. I think they are just so cute! Any how this card is made with the watering can from the Butterfly collection. I stamped it & colored it then cut it out with my nestibilities. I cut out a scalloped circle in green & one slightly larger in the pinky coral color. I adhered this to some background paper I found in my scrap basket. Then I stamped Tilda, colored her & cut her out carefully. I attached her to the watering can with pop dots for dimension. I used a fiskars border punch on the green strip on top. Added a few Prima flowers & a gingham bow. And to finish it off I added some glossy areas on the watering can, leaves & flowers with my Sakura clear glaze pen. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope to get some crafting time in today. Have a good one!

Happy Memorial Day! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days but with the holiday weekend I didn't get to it. Today's card features Tilda with Lilacs from the Butterfly Collection. She is so sweet! I colored her with my copic markers and used my clear glaze pen on the leaves & stems of the lilacs. I used some purple fun flock on the lilacs themselves to make them a little fuzzy.. I cut out my image with the Sizzix Top Note die from Stampin Up. I cut out a purple one as well for the second layer. I trimmed the image just on the edge so the purple one would show. I sponged lilac ink around the edges to soften it up. I added some prima flowers and gems along with some green swirls I cut out with my sizzix. A green gingham bow finishes it off. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great day. The weather is perfect here..not too hot & not too cold. Nice day for a cookout!

Hello ~ Oh boy is my picture dark! The sun is shining here...supposed to be at least 80 degrees this afternoon so I'm not sure why this picture is so dark. It is a quick, simple card I made last night using these cute owls from Great Impressions. I ran the brown paper through my Big Shot with the circle embossing folder. I used my Tim Holtz ruler to pierce a row of holes on the red paper. I used my clear glaze pen on their beaks, feet & ties. Finished it off with a red gingham bow. Thanks for stopping today. I hope it's a good one for you!

Hi ~ This card was made with a lot of different stamps that I got at the used stamp sale. All from different stands. The hutch was at one stand, the doily at another, etc... It's a tad too tall for Tilda but I just imagine that she is a wee girl in her Grandmother's kitchen. I had fun creating this scene all though it was lots of cutting! Everything you see was cut out. I popped up the jars and the plants for added dimension. Tilda is also popped up. I thought the sentiment could look like a plaque her Grandma had on the wall. Thanks for stopping by today. It is sunny & warm here...looks to be a glorious day!

Good morning stampers! I wanted to take a picture of my card for today & my camera is dead! I'm hoping it just needs new batteries and I don't have any here so....This is a card we made at one of my classes. The card itself was cut out using my Cricut & the Wild card cartridge. The polka dot scalloped circle was cut out with Mini monograms. We stamped & colored the turtle then used some lilac ink to sponge around the edges. We put a chipboard circle under the turtle image to give it just a little dimension. The inside sentiment says : I hope you are back on your feet again real soon. A lime green checked bow was added to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by today. I can't wait to get to my craft area and start creating. We went to a used stamp sale this weekend. It was jam packed with people but I did manage to find some goodies! Then we stopped at 2 stamp stores on the way home. It was a fun day and now I can't wait to start using my purchases. TTFN!

TGIF!!! This is a card made with one of http://www.dustinpike.blogspot.com/ 's digital images. His designs are so cute! You just download it and print it out at the size you want. I paid for this particular image but he does give away free images every Wednesday. This was a simple card. I colored it with my copic markers then colored a second image of the monkeys & elephants. I cut them out & popped them up. I sponged around the whole card with blue ink. Added some clear glaze to their eyes, the nails & the water. We know several people expecting baby boys so I think one of them will be getting this card. Speaking of animals...Yesterday my daughter & I went shopping. I needed to buy a new bathing suit for my water therapy. Every single suit I tried on made me look like a hippo with a tutu on...so depressing! I did end up buying one but it is not a pretty sight! Tomorrow I am going to another used stamp sale. Should be a lot of fun. Have a great day!

Hi ~ Here's another card made with the set from Penny Black. (see last post). I embossed it with clear embossing powder then colored it in. The paper is called Bloom & Grow from My Minds Eye. It is 2 sided...1 side is the daisy print & the other side is the orange polka dots. Love it!I used glossy accents for the center of the daisies. Cut out image with my oval Nestibilities. The circle with "for you" in it is slightly popped up. I didn't have any flower gems to match so I colored a clear one with my copic marker. Now I can always have embellies to match. How cool is that? Finished it off with a thin piece of ribbon that I recycled off some candy I received as a gift. Thanks for stopping by. Hope where you are it is sunny..not here...dreary & raining! Where has this day gone? It's almost time for dinner & I have been running around all day doing errands. Wasn't planning on it taking all day! Oh well. This is today's card. It is a clear stamp from Penny Black. There are several hedgehogs in this set and it is called "Tiny Wishes" I colored her and cut her out with my oval nestibilites. The paper is from Penny Lane. I love this. I wish I would have purchased more than 1 sheet. It's 2 sided...one side has the floral pattern & the other side is the purple stripes. I used a Fiskar border punch on the green paper. I stamped hello and cut it out with a smaller nestibility oval and popped it up for dimension. I added some purple bubble stickers and chalked her cheeks. I stamped a second hat and colored just the rose. I cut it out & popped that up as well. I hope you like her! I'm off to my stamping space to do some more stamping. We're having leftovers so I don't have to cook! Yay! Happy stamping...

Hello ~ I hope you are having a wonderful afternoon. This little Tilda arrived in my mailbox today. Isn't she cute? She is "Butterfly Tilda" from http://magnoliastamps.us/. I couldn't wait to ink her up!. I colored her with bright summery colors and glittered part of her wings with my sakura stardust pen. I added some prima flowers, a few baubles and a button. I used a leaf punch to add some more green color for contrast. I finished it off with a cute dragonfly sticker with googly eyes. The paper is from K & Co's "Citronella" pack. It is full of yummy colors and some of the papers have glossy areas. It is a fun pack! Thanks for stopping in! I am taking a stamp class tonight. Should be fun. I can't wait.

Good Morning! First, I apologize for how dark my picture is! My camera is off to the zoo with my daughter so I can't retake this. I just love this owl from www.sweetnsassystamps.com It is from the set called Owl Celebrations. The branch was another stamp I had. I think it's by hero arts. This was all colored with my copic markers. I paper pieced his belly & added googly eyes to make it fun. I stamped the hat & balloon twice. I cut them out & popped them up on the card to give it a little dimension. I used my clear glaze pen on the leaves and his beak & feet for a little shine and chalked around the edges to soften it up. Paper was from my scrap bin and metallic dots are from Joann fabrics. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful start to the week!

Happy Saturday! This is a card I made a few weeks ago using one of the new "Ketto" stamps from Stamping Bella. This one's name is Phoebe. Isn't she cute? It's hard to see but I added sparkle to her wings & the hearts. I think this new line of stamps is fun!
I was reading my magazine today and this "spoke" to me so I thought I would share it. I really want to be a positive person (and I am working on that!) but I tend to see the glass half empty instead of half full. Any whooo....Here it is...

There is no doubt about it: Life has it's ups & downs. But no matter what, the sun still shines, flowers still bloom and blue skies always return. No matter what's going on in the news, there is still good news to share; no matter what difficulties these days may bring, there are still blessings to count.

So true! I have many, many blessings to count! My family, my friends. Everything that God has given me I am thankful for. I hope this inspires you to think about the blessings you have in your life too! Have a great day!

I have some really sweet friends. They surprised me with a birthday cake & some pretty pink tulips at our card class. One made me a candy bouquet, one got me some really cute buttons, one gave me some pretty flower stickers and one of them made all of us cute pots filled with beans & a flower pen like they have at Archiver's. I also received several handmade cards. I am blessed to have these ladies in my life. They really made my day special!

It's a little dreary & dark outside so my picture is a little dark too. But it says Oh Happy Day and it is! Why you ask? It is my birthday today! My kids took me out for lunch and I got a beautiful hanging basket in pinks. Not sure what kind of flowers they are. There are a couple of different kinds in it and it is very pretty. Hope I don't kill it!
This card was made with the "Oh happy day" stamp set from close to my heart. I found it at the used stamp sale I went to. I colored it with my copics and silver metallic gel pen. The edges are chalked and a few of the flowers are sequins. The paper is from making memories and the metallic dots are from Joanns. Thanks for stopping and I hope you are also having a happy day too!!

another attempt at a scene card

This is another attempted scene. I'm not as happy with this one. Maybe too busy to look at? Maybe I should have made it on a bigger card? The fence & flowers are Jolee stickers. I had a piece of cloud paper and I cut out some extra clouds and popped them up to make them more prominent. I also used my clear glitter pen on them to make them sparkle but it doesn't show up in the picture. Her basket has a touch of Flower soft in it with a few flower stickers over top.
Hi ~ I attempted to make a couple more scene cards with my Magnolia girls. This wishing well was a stamp I bought last week at convention. I colored it & cut it out. I popped dotted it up and added some random flower stickers I had to it. Tilda is sitting on a log that was also cut out. The log was from the fall kit. Isn't she cute sitting there holding her chicks? She is from the Easter collection. I added a sheer bow at the top and pierced a row of holes across the top of the card.

I decided to play with my Cricut today. This is from the Hello Kitty cartridge. It has a feature that you can cut out cards in the shape of whatever you pick out on the cartridge. I thought for starters I would try this kitty holding a flower. It was very quick to put together and I embellished her just a little. I cut out a second flower so the one she is holding would be a little more dimensional. I added a rhinestone to the middle of both flowers and colored on the flowers with my clear spica glitter pen to give it a touch of sparkle. I also blushed her cheeks a bit. I added 2 tiny buttons to the front of her shirt. I didn't realize until just now that they are not the same color. I will have to fix that! I also found out that I did NOT make it on the design team that I tried out for. That was my 2nd one I applied for..Drats! I guess I will just have to try another one. Have a great day!

It's Saturday...hooray! I made this card with some stamps I bought at convention last weekend. I knew when I saw the chair and the little table that they would go perfect with my Magnolias! Unfortunately they were unmounted and I do not remember what company they are from. I stamped the chair on the polka dotted paper & cut it out. I did the same for the table using tan cardstock. I had the perfect little plant stamp to go on the table. I stamped an extra pot & cut it out & pop dotted it up to give it a little dimension. I colored Tilda with my Copics and carefully cut her out. I glued her to the chair and then popped up both of them on my card. I used 2 tiny pearls as buttons on her dress. I stamped the word hello at the top and added a tiny pink rhinestone at the end of hello. The wood floor was downloaded from http://justpaintingaround.blogspot.com/2009/04/fun-friday-freebie-1-digi-wood-floor.html
Hope you have a great weekend .TTFN (Ta Ta for now)

This was my submission to a new digital sentiment stamp company called Digiments. The design team call is closed and now I am just waiting to find out the results. The store should be up & running in the next week or two. It will be at http://www.digiments.blogspot.com/. I am really liking the "instant gratification " of digital stamps. Of course they will not replace my love for stamps "in the hand " but I think it is a nice compliment to this hobby. I am excited to see what this company will have for sale. Wish me luck. We should find out this weekend some time.
Edited : I just got the word that I was not chosen. Oh well, maybe next time!
