Hi! Happy Thursday! Its a scorcher here today...upper 90's. Too hot for this chick!
I have been slacking on making cards lately. Had a class last week and a scrapbook workshop on the weekend and haven't done much since! I may have posted these cards before...they were in my stash and I wanted to post something today. So, if you've seen them before please forgive me!

Our babies grew up so fast!! This is one of the last 2 getting ready to "fly the coop". Last night there was one left but this morning it is gone. So now there are 2 chicks on this property with empty nests!! LOL..We had a stalker sparrow last week trying to take over the nest. Wonder if she will use it next? Kinda neat to watch them go from eggs to little birds!
Have a great day. Stay cool!

Hello! Happy Hump Day! Hope life is treating you good! I have been super busy with projects. This is a card we are going to do in my next card class. I thought it was a fun image! I do see that I forgot to blush her cheeks! I will have to remedy that.
The ribbon is actually Christmas ribbon (snowflakes) but I loved the colors and I don't think any one will know what they are.

I had a sad experience this weekend! I took in this little feral kitten. So sweet & adorable...very affectionate! That was Thursday night. Took her to the vet on Monday. Long story short and 300.00 later, I had to put her to sleep. She had a fatal disease. I was bawling like a baby! You wouldn't think you would get attached that quickly but I did. I wasn't looking for another pet but the minute I saw her in my neighbors shed, I couldn't get her out of my mind...something about that little face wormed its way into my heart. Searched for her for days until I finally found her.But it was not meant to be. At least she had a few days living like a princess. Now I feel like I need to catch the other ones and their mother so they don't continue to spread the disease. Wish me luck...

On a positive note...We have babies! I noticed the mom feeding them worms so I knew they had hatched. I expected to get dive bombed taking pictures since I had to climb on a chair to see them. They are quite ugly at this stage but I can't wait until they fluff up and get feathers!I loved last year seeing the mother teach the babies how to hunt for food. It was quite entertaining!
Thanks for stopping by. See you soon!

Good Afternoon! Another gorgeous day here in Ohio! I'm enjoying it but the weather man said its going to start getting hot again tomorrow....
I finally finished my vintage summer cards. I'm thinking of doing a kit with them for my classes as extra cards they can make. Any feedback for me? They didn't turn out exactly how I had envisioned them... (You can click on the pictures to get a closer view)
Now I'm only 50 projects behind..lol! Not really but I do have a lot to do!

Looks like we will have more visitors to our yard soon. I had to climb on a chair to see if there was anything in this nest. She built it on top of the garage exhaust fan.I saw her building it but she hasn't been around for awhile. Last night in the dark I saw the silhouette of her sitting on the nest so of course I had to investigate today! Made me smile! Little things warm my heart.
Have a great rest of the day!

Hello~
It is a BEAUTIFUL day here in my town. Weather is PERFECT...not too hot and not too cold. Just right! Giving up the hunt for the kittens. I think the mom moved them. Probably a good thing! There was one that just melted my heart. If I caught it I would be keeping it. It was a calico similar to our cat. SOOO adorable! But they are feral so I'm not sure how good of a pet it would be. Plus, I really don't need anything else on my plate right now.
I am working on some vintage summer cards. This is the first one. Distressed the photo (copy) and all the other parts with Walnut distress ink before I assembled it. Popped up the photo for a little dimension. I rubbed a little ink on the twine to make it look aged too. I have a few more "in the works" and hope to get them done this afternoon. I have class next Tuesday and have to get all the stuff for that done too! I'm also having a vintage scrapbook class ( my first!) a week from Saturday. If any locals are interested I have 3 spots available. Cost is 35.00. I think it will be a fun class.
Well, need to get to work so I'm not stressing at the last minute!
Have a great day!
Happy Crafting!

Hello-
I am so sorry I haven't had anything to post lately. I have a few things in the works that I hope to finish up soon.
I feel like all the balls I have been juggling are crashing down around me. This is my happy place so I won't say any more.
Need to pull up my boot straps and get with the program!! Thanks for hanging in with me...should have some new projects to post tomorrow.
Have a great day!

Been down with a terrible headache all day. But I did get outside for a bit when the neighbor came over to tell me we had visitors! There were 3 yellow and 1 calico. The calico is soooo cute! Went over this evening to my son's for a visit so his dad could see his new place and to have cake for his girlfriends fathers birthday. When we got home I checked and the kittens were gone. Thinking maybe mom moved them since we discovered their hiding place. Hoping to craft tomorrow...I'm having withdrawal!!
Have a great day!

TGIF!!!
Cant believe a whole week has gone by! Stop this Merry go round...I want off! Its going so fast!! I want to savor every day..all the little things that make life special! Ive always said to my kids...enjoy the little things because some day you might realize they were the big things!
I am watching a mother Robin.. she has built a nest on the exhaust fan of our garage. Haven't heard the chirping of little ones yet so I am assuming they are still eggs! My neighbor has a hummingbird feeder and I have seen a couple of hummingbirds drinking from it. Nature to me is sooo amazing!
I really want to get my son over here to help me plant some flowers and put mulch around. I would do it myself but sadly no longer can do those things alone. Just don't have the strength. I really enjoy all the colors of blooming flowers. I don't know how anyone can say there is no God. Just look at all the variety of flowers. Their shapes, colors, scents. AMAZING!
Have a blessed day and Happy Crafting!
