Hello & Happy Saturday! It's such a beautiful summer day that it is making me think of picnics & summer foods. I made this card with my Cricut & Doodlecharms cartridge. The cute little bee stamp is from Stampendous. He's putting salt on his watermelon (Yuk!) I prefer mine just as sweet as it can be. I sponged some darker green on the watermelon rind to give it a little contrast and I also sponged around the bee with the same green. I added a red gingham bow to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are able to enjoy some of the wonderful "tastes" of summer & I will see you back here real soon. Bye!

Hi friends! Hope you are having a great morning! Last week the sun was no where to be found and now it's blazing Hot,Hot,Hot! Thank goodness for air conditioning! Today's card was made with one of my beloved Magnolias. I just can't seem to get enough play time with them. They are so fun to color & create scenes with. I got this door & stoop stamp at the used stamp sale I went to a while back. I knew when I saw it it would be perfect for my maggies. I am hoping to create with it for the different holidays. Move Tilda over & add a seasonal wreath to the door or maybe even cut the door so it opens, revealing Tilda behind it. Oh, I can think of so many possibilities...Don't have time to play today though. We have a new baby in the family and we are going to the hospital this afternoon to meet him. What is more exciting then holding a new born baby? And this one can be handed back to mom when he cries! Thanks for taking a peek at my card today. Have a great one & stay cool!

Happy Tuesday! Something is wrong with my computer I think...it is soooo slow today. Maybe it's not "awake" yet! Today's card was made with a stamp set by Hero Arts called Peeking Posies. I got this at a used stamp sale. Basically I just stamped, colored & cut out. Added some turquoise behind the flowers to add some contrasting color. I pierced the top but you can't see it in the photo. Used a white gel pen to add some dots and used some gems on the flowers for some added oomph! I also used a Happy Birthday rub on in white by Pebbles Inc. on the lower left hand corner. It didn't show up well in the photo either. I bought a new light to help me take pictures but every picture that I use it with looks too yellow. Have any helpful hints for me regarding this? It's frustrating because I want to have nice pictures where you can see all the details. Well, off to start my day. Have a good one!

Happy Saturday! We went from dark & dreary and a lot of rain to hot & muggy! So Tilda decided it was time to sell some lemonade! This was so much fun to make. I had to adjust it a little to fit little Tillie but she was quite delighted to finally have it finished. She was fresh squeezing the lemons and adding the sugar as I finished up her stand. So far no customers but she is hopeful that she will get some soon, as it is warm and people just have to be thirsty! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend relaxing or BBQing and enjoying the weather. I hope to learn to take better pictures so more of the details of my cards can be seen. Obviously picture taking is not one of my better talents. LOL!

TGIF!! It's still raining here. UGH! But the show must go on right? This cute Hedgehog is from the acrylic set called "Tiny Wishes" from Penny Black. Love this set! They are all so cute! The paper is from My Mind's Eye and it is called Bloom & Grow. Love this too! Wish I would have bought more. The one side has the flowers and the other side has the polka dots. This was one of the cards I had the ladies maker in my class. We stamped & clear embossed, then colored the image. I had the circle & scalloped circle pre cut for them with my Nesties. We embossed the small piece of turquoise with the Swiss dots folder. The basket has 2 sequin flowers & 1 small paper flower added to give it that little extra something. Thanks for taking a peek today. Hope you have a wonderful day and the sun is shining where you are!

Hello! Another dark, dreary day here. The sun is hiding. Hope it makes an appearance sometime today! My niece needed a wedding card for a wedding this weekend and asked me to whip one up for her. I embossed the background with the birds & swirls folder then sprayed it with pearl glitter spray by Tattered Angels. You can't tell from the picture but it is very shimmery! I stamped the wedding couple, colored it ,then cut them out with my rectangle Nesties. The bottom of her dress & veil has some stickles to give it more sparkle. I added a flower from Michaels wedding confetti on the bottom with a few small crystals. And a shimmery bow to finish it off. Thanks for stopping today. Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday friends! Sorry my picture is so dark. It's a rainy, dark, dreary day today. I have had a busy morning so I am posting a card we made at my stamp class last night. The bird stamp is from Stampin Up. We colored it with watercolor crayons and a blender pen. We embossed the Wild Wasabi paper ( my fav. now discontinued !) with a flower swirl embossing folder. We used pink flower soft on the flowers for some texture. The flower trim was from Walmart. I think the ladies enjoyed making this as some of them have never used flower soft or watercolor crayons. Thanks for stopping by today. TTFN!

Good afternoon! I just got back from swimming and had to share this "wild" card with you. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first but it has definitely grown on me since yesterday. Isn't funny that sometimes at first you don't like something but when you put it aside and look at it with "fresh" eyes in the morning you see it differently. Anyways, I stamped various flowers on black cardstock with Versamark. Then I used the Zing embossing powders in Grapefruit, Wave & Leaf. (I did each color separate) The patterned paper is from the Paper Studio and the Happy Birthday is a rub on by Pebbles. The ribbon I found that matched pretty good was from Hobby Lobby. I think we just might do this card at an upcoming card class this summer. Hope the ladies will like it. Have a great day. The weather is perfect here today! Not too hot...not too cold...

Hello & Happy Monday! The days are just flying by aren't they? Is it because we are getting older or just because the world is on overdrive? I don't know but I can't believe it's Monday again! This weekend was a fun one. Saturday I took a class with some ladies from our stamp group, had lunch & then went shopping at several stamp stores.Fun! I was exhausted by the time I finally got home. We definitely shopped till we dropped! LOL! Today's card is a simple one made with a turtle die cut from QuikKutz. I cut him out in 3 colors of greens and glued him together. The Happy birthday stamp is from Endless Creations and the paper is from DCWV. I lightly sponged around the edge with some chalk ink. I used my Nesties to cut out both circles. Added 2 clear skittles to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day... see you tomorrow.

Good Afternoon! This morning I spent some time stamping with a friend. So much fun! She taught me a new technique that I can't wait to try again and we designed a few cards for the card ministry at the church we attend. It was fun to help her but I feel bad that I didn't help her cut everything out. That's the time consuming part. But she said she would have her kids help her.
She fed me a yummy lunch of salad with chicken on it and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Yum! We sat out on her screened in deck and all of a sudden 2 little baby deer came out of the woods and started frolicking around her back yard. So cute with all their little spots. Mama came out of the woods too to keep an eye on her youngins. They had so much energy! I loved seeing them. That totally made my day! I just look at things in nature & wonder how people can think there is no creator. I just sit in awe knowing that there is a God & amazed at all that He created big or small. Any how, on to today's card. I downloaded this cute fairy from C.C. Designs available at http://www.allthatscraps.com/. I colored her & carefully cut her out. I ran my scalloped oval through the Bigshot with an embossing folder to give it some texture. I inked around the edges with Lilac chalk ink. I pop dotted her up in the middle and added it to my card. A smaller scallop circle made with my SU punch holds the sentiment with a small flower cut from a piece of trim. Finished it off with 2 small purple buttons and a touch of glitter to her boots & wings. I just love that look on her face...so innocent. Have a great day.

Hello ~ It's Tuesday and I should be cleaning my house but no one is home and I am enjoying the quiet. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my kids but also like having the house to myself at times. These are 2 quick cards I made with the Penny Black stamp "Leap for joy" Isn't he a cute frog? Both cards are almost the same (as you can see) but I was experimenting with different ways to embellish it. Not sure which one I like better. I was challenging myself not to add a bow but to figure out something different. Anyhow I think whoever gets these will like them no matter what! I just noticed the card on the right has some issues with the strips being straight. Oh well, maybe they won't notice. Well thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate it!

Happy Monday to you! Hope it's a great start to the new week. I made this card for a friend's sister who has breast cancer. I don't know her but I hope to bring a small smile to her face. She had a radical mastectomy last week and has to endure chemo & radiation. Unfortunately everyone knows of someone who has cancer. Such a dreadful word! But I am praying for her complete recovery. This card uses the Tilda with Roses stamp from Magnolia. I colored her with my copics and after I had the whole card put together, I decided to use some of the floral trim I got at Walmart. I cut the individual flowers apart & glue dotted them on top of the roses I colored. I think it looks cute. Well, I hope you have a good day & I will leave you with this quote
I have on my bedroom mirror.

This is the beginning of a
new day.
God has given me this day
to use as I will.
I can waste it or grow in it's light
and be of service to others.
But what I do with this day is
important because I have
exchanged a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes, today
will be gone forever. I hope I will
not regret the price I paid for it.

Happy Saturday Everyone! I am happy to say the sun is shining today and temps are supposed to climb. Thank goodness because the last few nights I had to wear flannel pjs cuz I was sooo cold. I don't ever recall wearing flannels in June! Today's card is for a shower I am going to tomorrow. It's a wedding shower for my dear friend's son & soon to be daughter in law. Their colors are purple & green. I stamped an extra umbrella so I could cut out the top half & pop it up for dimension. This Tilda image by Magnolia stamps can be purchased at ww.magnoliastamps.us.
I colored her with my Copic markers and added a little clear glaze on the rain drops & puddle so they would be shiny like water. Inside I am going to write ~ Wishing you showers of blessing" I hope she likes it. Have a fabulous day and enjoy the sun! See you soon.

Hi ~ The sun is finally shining today and no rain so far! Yay!!! It still is quite cold. The temp in my house right now is 60...a little nippy!!! But since the sun is no longer MIA hopefully it will warm up some. I could turn the heat on but it's JUNE. Today's card features a Boo Boo Dragon from Dustin Pike. It is a digital stamp that you can download right to your computer. You can get him at www.DustinPike.blogspot.com. I colored him & carefully cut him out. I used pop dots to have him raised up off the card. I added a band aid sticker and stamped Get Well in the corner. The blue dots are little fuzzy circle stickers that I acquired from somewhere...they were just hanging out in my sticker bin never been used. I used my clear glaze pen to accent his spikes.
This image is so fun and I will have it ready to go if someone I know gets hurt, But truthfully, I hope I never have to use it. I hope everyone I know stays healthy and out of the ER. Have a great day today and do something fun for yourself.

Hello ~ I just got back from my water exercise class and wanted to post a new card that I made. The image is from Great Impressions. I just love these little animals. I think they are so cute to use for a baby card. I added teeny, tiny buttons for the end of the strings. Paper was from my scrap box and I highlighted a few areas with my clear glaze pen. Chalked a little around the edge . Added some buttons & "Welcome Baby" was stamped in the corner. Thanks for stopping by today. The weather is still cold here but I have been enjoying the activity going on outside my window. There is a mother Robin teaching her babies how the get their lunch! It is so cute to watch. They are almost as big as her now but still have some of their baby feathers. I almost got hit in the head the other day by one learning to fly. Needless to say, he was flying so low he just about touched the top of my hair as he flew over. At first I thought it was some crazy bird but soon realized he was just a youngin so that made it OK. I am so thankful of the "little" things that can bring a smile to my face. It's been a bad week and I needed that little "pick me up"! TTFN

It's Monday...back to the grindstone! Today would be a good day to stay in bed or curl up in a blanket to read. It's the first day of June but it is so cold here! Dreary & downcast...Mr. Sun where are you? Today's card was made with a stamp from Heartfelt Creations. I purchased quite a few things from them when they were in town for the Stamping convention. I cut out the base with the Cricut using the Wild card cart. This is the "Doily" card. The green polka dot paper is from Stampin Up's Bella Rose collection and it was cut out with my Nestibilities. I embossed my image with clear embossing powder. Colored with my Copic markers. I stamped an extra image & cut out 2 leaves & one of the flowers. I popped them up to give them dimension and to look like the bunny is hiding under the plant. Have a wonderful day. See you soon.
