Happy New Year's Eve! Today's card features another one of Mo's digital pencil images. Makes me think "Poor puppy"! Made it with paper from my scrap bin. I added glitter to the hearts on her shirt and to her hair bow. Two little brads for her buttons. The hearts are from a Martha Stewart punch and the scallop frame was cut with my Nestibilities. I also used my clear glaze pen to accent the dog's nose & collar. Have a great night tonight. Hope you can stay awake until midnight! Can you believe it's almost a new year? The last one flew by lightening fast! Sort of scary... Is it because we are getting older or do you think it goes faster for everyone? Sure makes me want to do the things I love as life is too short. I am looking forward to a better year! We have had so many near & dear people pass away in the last 1 1/2 yrs! I am ready for some good news for a change. Hope 2010 brings it! Happy New Year!

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

Good Morning! It is 10:15 am here & I am still in my pajamas! I was supposed to go to WW this morning but just needed a day to chill...no running around, staying home and crafting. Today's image is from Mo's digital pencil. I love her digital stamps. They are so cute & a lot of them show "emotion" and I think that is nice. I colored this with my Copic markers and added glitter with my Spica clear glitter & my Sakura glitter pen. It is pretty sparkly but it's not showing up in the photo. Not sure why. It is kinda gloomy outside today, maybe that's why?... I used a metallic silver gel pen to color the skate blades. Finished it off with some glittery ribbon and some snowflakes that are actually confetti. And I chalked their cheeks so you could tell they were a little chilly. Hope you stay warm today and get some crafting time in. Until next time....

Hello! Happy Tuesday. Well, the snow finally made an appearance here. Not bad, just a couple of inches. Today it's the big fluffy flakes. They really are pretty to watch but I am not a big fan of the cold that goes with it.
I finally had time to sit down & craft! My Magnolia stamps were feeling neglected. This Tilda is from the Winter kit. I do not know her "official" name. I think she is so cute . Reminds me of my daughter when she was little with her pinafore dress. I used a Martha Stewart around the page punch with the matching corner punch. They were clearanced out since they are "holiday" punches. I got both for under $9.00. I love a bargain! Once I punched my paper, it reminded me of a trellis so I added some flowers & some leaves to complete the garden look. I colored her with my Copics and added a teeny tiny flower gem to her dress for a little sparkle. I also used a clear glitter Spica marker to add a hint of bling to her hair bows & pinafore. It doesn't show up well in the photo but you can see it sparkle in person.
I'm glad you stopped for a visit today. Have a good one!

Hope you had a wonderful holiday spent with good food & good company! It didn't seem like Christmas here in Ohio. No snow...I hate snow but would have liked it for the "Christmas" look. Now it can stay away until next year as far as I'm concerned! Sorry to all you who love it. LOL!

I am working on some cards for a local animal rescue. I have 10 more to go then I can start playing with my other stamps. My poor Magnolia girls are feeling neglected! I didn't get any Christmas cards made with them. And biggest shock of all...my winter kit arrived a couple of weeks ago & I haven't even gotten to touch it yet. Maybe a blizzard would be nice...snowed in and nothing to do but stamp!

I got a new digital camera for Christmas. Much clearer pictures than my old one & very easy to use. I was spoiled this year! I also got the Gypsy to use with my Cricut. Played with it a little. Hope to learn more about it in the coming week. I can't wait to "weld" my letters and to make some "shaped" cards. Oh, my brain is spinning with ideas! See you soon!

Thursday, December 24, 2009

Good morning! I know I said I was back but have been caught up in the hustle & bustle of the holidays approaching. Haven't had time to craft and boy do I miss it! Just want to wish each & everyone of you a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy it & remember the real reason for the season. See you soon!

I'm BAAACK!!
My step mom is now home & doing much better. And my puppy sitting days are over. She is so cute but I couldn't get anything done. My animals are much happier now too. They were good with her but they had their moments...
These are 2 simple cards I made really quick with my Cricut. I used the Sweet Treats cartridge. I love "shaped" cards and when I found out about this cartridge I just had to get it. I went to Michaels over the weekend and they told me they were sold out of ALL cartridges due to their big sale on black friday. Well, Lo & behold when I was checking out I asked for a rain check I was told they had some. And they were still on sale. It made my day! Anyway, these were made lickety split. I used my embossing folders to add a little something to them. The ice cream cone needed some texture. The heart on top of the cupcake was made with glitter paper but it's not showing up well in the photo. The house is dark due to the dreary weather we are having. But I am not complaining. There is no rain & no snow so I am good with that. Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you have a great one. Toodles!

Quick post today. I am still puppy sitting because my step mom is still in the hospital. We are getting into a routine but my one dog doesn't especially care for the puppy so I have to be the "referee"! Plus we are potty training! She's learning quick!
This is a card we made at one of my classes. I wish all the "sparkle" would show up in the photo. The card base is pearlized and the the center of the poinsettia is glittery. We embossed it with silver pearl embossing powder & then cut it out & popped it up. Have a wonderful day. I hope to be able to craft a little today. We'll see how it goes. See you soon ...

Saturday, December 5, 2009

Happy Saturday. This post will be quick. I am still on "puppy duty" and have to go and pick her up. Hopefully my stepmom will be coming home from the hospital today. I LOVE LOVE LOVE puppies but quickly forget how much work they are! Today's card is the Christmas card I am sending out this year. I make all the cards the same, assembly line fashion. My card is not the usual "christmas colors" but I really like how they turned out. The ornament is very sparkly in real life. I used some silver mirror cardstock and sparkly edged ribbon too. Thanks for stopping today. Enjoy this special season while it is here as it will pass all too quickly!

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Hello! No new card today. I have been so busy lately & haven't crafted for several days (frowny face) I had high hopes for today but my step mom had to go to the hospital and I am bringing their new puppy over to watch. She is a little schnoodle, so cute! So I don't plan on getting much done. You know how puppies are. It's like having a toddler in the house. Gotta watch their every move. I plan on blocking us in the kitchen and writing out my Christmas cards. If you could please say a little prayer for my step mom that she would have a quick recovery & be home soon. Her birthday is Saturday. No one wants to be sick for their birthday! Have a wonderful day! And I hope to have something new to post soon.

Monday, November 30, 2009

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend filled with all good things! I just had the last piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast. I know, not good for my Weight Watchers but I couldn't resist. It was so yummy! Today's card is a another quick one I made with my Cricut & the Snow friends cartridge. The border is made from a Martha Stewart punch. I haven't had much time to "play" over the holiday weekend so I can't wait to finish up my errands so I can get busy. My Christmas cards are almost done. I just have to stamp the sentiment and get them addressed and ready to mail out. I just can't beleive that Christmas is right around the corner. Time just goes by way too fast! TTFN.

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Hello & Good afternoon! Hope today finds you well! It is a dark & dreary day around here. You can really tell the season is changing. The trees are bare & the cold has set in! Today's card was made with my Cricut. I used the new Snow Friends cartridge. He is so adorable! The card is really sparkly in real life. I can't wait to make more of these. There are 10 different ones on the cartridge...fun,fun,fun! Have a great day. See you soon!
PS...I am selling my baby cricut. I have advanced to the bigger one. If anyone is interested, let me know! (Myra...I'll give you a great deal!)

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Another weekend...flying by! This post will be quick! This is a card we made at my stamp class on Tuesday. I love this pine cone owl. He is so cute! We added white fun flock to his hat so it looked fuzzy. Circle & scalloped circle is cut out with Nesties. Holly is a punch. Thanks for coming by today. I have to get downstairs & work on my Christmas cards or I won't be able to send them out on time! Hugs!

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Hello & Happy Wednesday! Ran some errands this morning and now I am going to take a quick nap before I go work on my Christmas cards. I usually have them done by now! This little hedgehog is from Penny Black. They are some of my favorites. I have several of the hedgehog stamps for all seasons. We made this at my card class last night. Ruddy has a shiny red sticker on his nose so that it "glows" (HeeHee). We had a lot of fun creating last night and we even had a new lady who had never stamped before. She was thrilled when she left that she had created 4 cards all by herself. It's so nice to see someone get so tickled when they learn something new! I like sharing my love for stamping with other people and helping them bring out their creativity. Well, stay warm (it is starting to feel a little like November today) & Happy crafting...

Sunday, November 15, 2009

Good morning! This is the day that the Lord has made...and it is a beautiful day here! Hope it finds you well! Today's post will be short as I have to get ready for church. This is a sweet image from Sweet & Sassy designs. It is a Digi stamp. It has been colored with Copics and embellished with a touch of glitter & some glitter dots. The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch. Hope you like it! Have a great rest of the weekend!

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Good afternoon on this fine Saturday! The weather here is absolutely beautiful. Doesn't feel like November one bit! The sun is shining and the temperature is mild requiring only a light jacket. Hope we have a few more days of this.

Today's card is one we made at stamp class last night. It was my turn to teach. It is a simple card but I love how it turned out. The reindeer was an EK Success punch and I also used Stampin Ups "Topnote" Sizzix die. The sentiment is also from Stampin up. We added some embellishments and voila, one cute card ready to go!

My little dog went to the vet today to have her eye rechecked. He said it is healing quite well, thank goodness! She still has to wear her "cone" for a few more days while we finish up the antibiotic ointment but she shouldn't have any more trouble. Hope not, I've had enough "excitement" the last few months to last quite awhile! I'm ready for something good to happen for a change. Thanks for stopping and enjoy the sunshine while you can!

Thursday, November 12, 2009

It's Thursday! Where has the week gone? It blew right by LOL! Been busy raking leaves and running errands. Also getting all my stuff done for 2 classes. Today's card was one we did at my last class. I love how it turned out! The snowflake turns in the window. The gems are very sparkly and it is my favorite color...Blue! Still not ready for the snow that is sure to be arriving soon. Today it is sunny out so I hope it sticks around for a few more days! Have a great day and thanks for stopping! Happy Crafting!

Sunday, November 8, 2009

Happy Sunday! Today the sun is shining and the temp. is supposed to be in the 60's. Looks to be a wonderful day! This is a little card I made with Henry mouse from Whiff of Joy stamps. Isn't this image just so cute! I added lots of sparkle to the candy cane and their hats & scarves.. I wish my pictures would show more of the detail... Have a great day. See you soon!

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Hello ~ It's Thursday afternoon and I wanted to post a new card. Tomorrow is the funeral visitation for my friend and also is my son's birthday. I will probably be too busy to get online.
It still all seems like a bad dream..hasn't sunk in yet. I am so glad I was able to spend some quality time with him a few weeks ago. They told him he had about 6 months to live but he didn't even make it 6 weeks...so sad!
I chose this image because you can't help smiling when you see it. It is a digital stamp from Pink Cat Studio. I cut out a second image to pop up over the first to give it dimension. I don't think you can tell from the picture. Added some glittery paper behind it and some stickles on his nose.
The flower was something that was kicking around my craft area. Thanks for stopping today. See you soon!

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Today is a sad day. My dear friend lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Monday, November 2, 2009

Monday, monday.... Hope you had a fabulous weekend. The weather here was beautiful on friday but it has cooled down considerably since then. This is one of the cards that the ladies did in my card class. It is a old stamp that I have had for a very long time. We stamped him & cut him out for a little dimension. Added a little rhinestone for his nose and some peppermint candies I got at a local craft store. Christmas is going to be here before we know it! I usually have my cards done & some shopping started by now. But not this year...I am feeling very behind! I really want to just ENJOY the season. Every little thing about it... Savor the friendships, foods, music, holiday lights, etc...Want to S L O W down and not feel so hurried & stressed. That is something I am really going to try this year. Want to focus more on the real reason for the season...Take care. See you soon!

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Rain, Rain go away! Today it is a dreary, drizzly day. Good day to snuggle under a blanket! Our yard is so full of leaves. You would never guess that they were all raked up yesterday! Now they are laying on the ground all soggy.
I love this Happy Hopper image. I added paper glaze to all the apples to make them shine. I also used some of this cool "tape" my friend gave me. I used to work at a craft store and one of my fellow workers left to teach in Korea. She's home now & we had lunch last week. She brought this red gingham tape that she got there for me. It looks like ribbon but it is tape. Very cool product. And she knows me well...love my gingham stuff! Thanks Carla! I am enjoying it very much and can't wait to make something else with it. Thanks for stopping today. Blessings!!

Monday, October 26, 2009

Another new week! We are off to a good start. The sun is shining and the leaves are just beautiful today. All the pretty shades of reds, yellows & oranges. My favorite time of year. It won't be long though until winter makes it's appearance so enjoy it while you can!
Today's card is another Magnolia image. She is Peachy Tilda from the Yummy for your tummy collection. Isn't she cute? It's amazing how they are all the same yet different. Each one cuter than the last one! I colored her with my Copics and I added some flocking to the peaches so they would look fuzzy. This card looks much nicer in person. Not so "washed out". See you soon...until then, happy crafting!

Thursday, October 22, 2009

Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a great day so far. I am still in my jammies so I hope no one stops by! I'm a scary sight with my bed head hair! LOL! I believe this image is by Hero Arts. I threw the package away so I am not 100% certain. I colored him with my copics and added lots of sparkle to his hat & scarf. The border punch is by EK Success and the snowflakes are actually confetti. The Large snowflake is a sticker from Recollections at Michaels. I finished it off with a snowflake border sticker and some small rhinestones. See you soon! I'm offf to get in the shower!!

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

It's Wed. which is my weigh in at Weight Watchers. I am doing the happy dance! I have lost 27 lbs. so far! Not quite half way to my goal. I have about 35 lbs. to go. But I am so excited that I have gotten this far!
Ok...on to the card. This is another cute image from Stampavie. This whole collection just really appeals to my "cute" meter! LOL! The "snow" is polar white Flower soft. The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch and I used white brads for the middle of the snowflakes. The blue cardstock was embossed with the snowflake folder in my Big Shot.
Have a great day! Enjoy the sunshine...today we are supposed to get in the 70's!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Happy Tuesday! Today's card is made with another stamp from Stampavie. I just think he is so
CUTE!!! In case you haven't figure it out, I love "cute" stamps the best. I colored him with Copic markers. I used polar white flower soft for the snow & trim on his hat. The ornaments & star have some subtle glitter on them. The snowflakes are actually confetti and I added a small rhinestone to the middle of each one. The red paper was also a scrap in my scrap bin & it has a shimmer to it that's hard to see in the picture. Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you get out to enjoy the fall leaves. They are so beautiful right now. It's one of my favorite times of the year. Take care!

Monday, October 19, 2009

Monday, Monday...Where did the week go? It flew by so fast! I had a good weekend. I did a craft show with my dear friend who is dying of pancreatic cancer. I wasn't even sure he would be able to go through with the show but he did. I really didn't sell much but did it with the intentions of spending time with him. He is all yellow and his eyes are yellow. They gave him 6 months to live but I don't know if he will be able to get to that mark. So sad but glad I could have 2 whole days with him!
Today's card image is just so cute with a capital C! These little mice are from Stampavie. I made the background out of scraps of paper that I punched out with a square punch. It gives it that "patchwork quilt" look. I find it a great way to use up some of my scraps. You can't see to much in the pictures but I colored their clothes with my clear spica glitter pen to give it a little sparkle. I accented the berries with some clear glaze. The holly leaves are from a punch I have. Thanks for stopping and have a great day!!

Monday, October 12, 2009

Monday, Monday.... I'm back! Yay! Surgery went well. I'm sore but doing great! There is no sun today so my picture was a little dark. I lightened it but the colors aren't as "true" as the card but I think you'll get the picture. This is 60's Tilda from the Yummy collection. Isn't she just the cutest? I love Girly girls...ruffled dresses. hair bows and a touch of glitter! MY girl has rebelled though. I guess I dressed her up to much because now she will almost never put on a dress and make up? Forget it! But she is beautiful without all that stuff anyway!. The frame is a Nestibilities frame and I put a piece of blue card stock behind it for contrast. Tilda was cut out & popped up with pop dots. So were the boxes & jars. I added clear glaze to the candy hearts to make them shine! The candy & hearts brads are very glittery and they are from Doodlebug designs. I added some stickles to her lollipop and a touch of subtle glitter from my clear Spica glitter pen. Thanks for stopping today and happy creating!

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

OK..this is supposed to be my happy place. This past week or so has been anything but happy. My son is on the mend.Thank God for that! Tomorrow I am having surgery which I am actually looking forward to being out of pain. But today I got more bad news. My dear friend, who has pancreatic cancer, was just told the cancer has spread and he only has about 6 months to live. What do you say when someone tells you this devastating news? It's heartbreaking & I have no words to say to him. I feel bad because when he told me I just couldn't form the words to say anything except Oh Tim! Our friendship goes all the way back to our high school days. Our kids have grown up together...So so sad. If you have an extra prayer or two could you ask the Lord to help him & his family through this difficult time. I can't even imagine what they are going through and the difficult days ahead. Take care of yourself & give those you love an extra squeeze and I will post a card or to when I recover. Blessings!!

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Hello & Happy Sunday! My son is home and on the road to recovery. He still doesn't feel 100% but I am glad he is out of the hospital. This past week was stressful indeed!
Today's card is made with a digital image from the pink cat studio. Isn't she cute? I love ladybugs so I just had to get her. I added some subtle glitter with a clear spica pen and I used some clear glaze on the spots. The little flowers were cut out with a spellbinder's die and sanded to give them a 2 tone effect. The paper is from my scrap bin. (I have so many scraps!)
Thanks for stopping & I hope you have a great day.

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Sorry, no new cards...My son is in the hospital in the ICU so I haven't had time to create. Hoping he gets better soon. I hate to see him so sick and that there isn't anything I can do to make him better (except pray!) Hopefully he will be on the mend soon.

Saturday, September 26, 2009

Rain, Rain, go away...It's a dreary Saturday here. A bit chilly too! Perfect day to stay home & take a nap, read a book or craft. That's what I'm going to do! Yesterday was so much fun! I went on a stamping/shopping trip with 3 of my friends. We shopped all day about 3 hrs. away from our home. We bought lots of goodies and I can't wait to go "play"!

Today's card is another one I am making for an order. The stamp is a serendipity stamp. Isn't it a cute image? It's a simple little card but I hope she will like it. I also have some Christmas ones to do for her. I also used my Stampin Up Top note die. I love that one & use it all the time. Thanks for visiting today and Happy Crafting!!

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Happy Tuesday! Finally I have been able to get to my room & create. I was having serious withdrawals! LOL!!! I attended a fundraiser on Friday night. It was a card making event with all the money going to St. Jude's children hospital. So I DID get to craft on Friday night. But to get some of my own stuff done, I have been too busy.
I have some cards that need to be done for an order. These 2 are the first ones I have completed. I think they turned out pretty cute. The order is for some dog holiday cards. I don't have any Halloween stamps so I created these with what I had. The dog is a Sissix die. The papers are Debbie Mumm. The clown hat & collar were cut freehand. The spiders are some stickers I had in my stash. I finished it off with a computer generated tag...Happy HOWLoween
I hope she likes them! Thanks for stopping today. See you soon!

Thursday, September 17, 2009

It's Thursday and I am so sorry I haven't posted anything for the last week. I have been so busy! I have a few errands to run today then I plan on creating when I get home. I have been busy helping a friend pack up her kitchen. She sprained her ankle & her husband has already gone to Texas so she needed someone to help her. She is moving in less than 2 weeks and was feeling very overwhelmed. I'm just glad I was available to help her. So, I will try to post something later today or tomorrow for sure! Have a great day!

Friday, September 11, 2009

TGIF!!!! I am so happy it is Friday. Looking forward to the weekend. Nothing special planned but my daughter is supposed to come home from college for a "visit". I know the cat will be happy to have her home. This silly cat NEVER sleeps with anyone but last weekend when my daughter came home she stuck to her like glue. Every where she went the cat followed. It made my daughters day for sure!
Today's card is made with another digital stamp from www.allthatscraps.com. You can also buy the rubber version but I like the instant gratification you get from digitals! I think she is so cute. The large pumpkin is also available as a download. I cut her out & popped her up for dimension. I added some brads for the center of the wheels and a little twine to give it that fall feel. I stamped autumn wishes on orange paper then punched it out in the shape of a leaf. Sanded the edges a little and I think it's done! Also added a teeny tiny brad for the buckle on her shoe. TTFN...

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Hello~ Today has been a very frustrating day! I weighed in at Weight Watchers & I gained a little. Then everything went downhill from there...LOL! Hope tomorrow is better. I guess we all have those days don't we? I know I NEED to get to my craft room & create. That always helps!
This is a card I made the other day with a strawberry Maggie. She is from the summer collection. (So is the strawberry) The paper was in my scrap bin. I believe it is by Doodlebug designs. I added paper glaze to the strawberry to make it 3 dimensional. I don't know why it didn't show up in the picture but I also used some white rickrack to add a little extra something. The sentiment says I like you berry much. Thanks for looking and happy crafting!

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Hello. Hope you are having a great weekend full of BBQ's, family & fun! It's a little chilly here this morning but I hope it warms up. We are just hanging around the house today...nothing special.
Today's card features another one of my sweet little Maggie stamps. Isn't she so cute? I colored her then cut here out so I could sit her on the ice cream cone. I added a touch of glitter to the "strawberry" ice cream and some paper glaze to the strawberry on top to make it shine. I didn't have a flower to match so I colored a white one with my Copic markers. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend. See ya soon!

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am having a great day. Went to Weight Watchers today & I lost another 3.6 lbs. with a total loss of 20lbs.!!! I am about 1/3 of the way to my goal. It's been an uphill battle but I am seeing some results. Just had to share! I also got to spend time with an old friend from school. He has pancreatic cancer but felt well enough to go out to lunch. Seeing some one go through a battle for their life is eye opening. Makes you realize what's important in life. I was glad to see him feeling a little better.
Today's card was made with one of the very first stamps I ever got. It is by Stampendous. I stamped it on red paper & cut it out. I created the second flower by doing the same thing but cutting off some of the petals so it was more of a bud. Did the same thing with the leaves. I liked using the colored card stock instead of coloring it all by hand. I used the Top note die from Sissix and then ran it through with an embossing folder to give it some texture. 3 red gemstones & some red grosgrain ribbon to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping & happy crafting!

Monday, August 31, 2009

Monday, Monday..... Today's card is all about cherries! I used Cherry Tilda, cherry paper, and a cherry stamp from Hero Arts. I added the hello inside the message area. I like this stamp because you can stamp whatever sentiment you need in it. I colored Tilda with my Copics then carefully cut her out. She is pop dotted up for dimension. The white rickrack is actually a sticker! I added glossy accents to all the cherries to make them stand out more. You can't see it in the picture but Tilda's dress & hair ties have a touch of glitter from my Spica pen. I finished it off with 2 red gems and a cherry charm that I got awhile back at Target. It was in the dollar spot. This card makes me want to go buy a Dolly Madison cherry pie. I used to get those in my school lunches as a kid. Haven't had one in quite awhile...maybe I will treat myself today. Have a great day yourself! See ya soon.

Saturday, August 29, 2009

Happy Saturday! Well, my daughter is all moved in and settled at college. I didn't think I would be quite so emotional but I keep crying! Yesterday I went down and saw her since she didn't want me to help her move in. Her room is so small. Definitely cozy but she LOVES it! It's just hard as a mom to have to "let go" but I know she is on to the next season in her life and so am I.
Looking forward to seeing her accomplish her dreams. Well, enough of that. Today's card is Tilda floating on her inner tube trying to soak up that last bit of summer sun since fall seems to be rapidly approaching. The paper I used is by K & company. and the little fishy brads are from Michael's. I just love my little "maggie" stamps. One is cuter than the next! I hope after cleaning today I can get downstairs & craft.l I need "my therapy" ya know? LOL. See you soon my friends! Have a great day!

Thursday, August 27, 2009

No card today. Sorry! My baby leaves for college today. I'm happy for her but sad for me. It will be a different season in both of our lives. She won't be far so I hope she will come home often & visit. I will miss her hugs! So, it is a bittersweet day & I didn't feel like creating anything. I hope you understand and I will have something for you soon. Promise! Take care!

Monday, Monday.... Where does the time go? It's flying by!! The wedding was awesome. Everyone had such a good time! Everything turned out perfect. They had a photo booth at the reception. What fun! You could go in as much as you wanted and it took your picture 4 times and the machine printed them out right there..Well, anyway, I only had time to make 1 card this weekend. I used this cat stamp from Wild Rose Studio. They can be purchased at All that scraps. Again, I am not a photographer as you can see. It is sunny out but still kinda dark in here. I colored her with my Copics and added some glitter to the flowers. The center of the flowers was accented with a yellow glaze pen for dimension. I used a few dewdrops and finished it off with some grosgrain ribbon. I love the woodgrain paper...reminded me of the tree she is hanging in.I thought this would make a great encouragement card. I'm going to stamp Hang in there on the inside. Thanks for stopping today & have a wonderful, wonderful afternoon!

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Happy Saturday! I am disappointed in how the photos came out because this card is so much prettier in person. It is very sparkly! I have added australian crystals on the border but you can't see those too well here. We have a very special wedding to go to today. It is my son's best friend who he has known for many, many years. He even calls me his "second" mom. I am so happy he has found someone who completes him! I'm sure it will be a beautiful ceremony and i might even squeeze out a tear. I don't know why but I tend to cry at weddings during the processional. I can't wait to see my son in his tux. He spent the night away from home so I won't see him until we get there. Well, you didn't come here to be told all that so on to the card! This mouse couple is my absolute favorite wedding stamp. I am into "cutesy" and they definitely are! I added stickles to her flowers and used my clear Spica glitter pen for her veil. I colored them with my Copics and the border was made with a Borderabilities die cut from Spellbinders. I love how they emboss & cut out. The hearts on the side were from a Nestibilities pendant set. All the paper is Bazzill. Finished it off with a sparkly piece of ribbon.I really wish you could see it in person. I love how it turned out. Have a great day and I will see you soon!

Hello ~ I couldn't decide which one to post today so I posted both of them. This cute turtle stamp is from Whipper Snapper. I have a similar one with a frog on his back. I just think these little turtles are so cute and fun to create with. This week has been really busy as my youngest is going away to college in about a week and a half. She did most of her basics at the local community college but now is moving on to work on her major. I will miss her but she won't be too far away so I will (hopefully) see her often. We have been shopping & getting all the things she will need for her room. I haven't been home to craft much but I have to get myself down to my craft room & get going on my class projects for Tuesday's class. I always take the next months samples to display so they can sign up. Hopefully tomorrow will be a productive day! Today I have a baptism party to attend. I hope I can control myself will all the yummy food. I have WW on Wednesday and don't want the scale to show anything but a loss! So far I am down 15 1/2 lbs. It's coming off slowly but surely. I wish it was faster but I will be patient as I didn't gain it over night! Have a great rest of the weekend & I will see you soon. Stay cool! TTFN

Hello & Happy Thursday. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been busy & also wasn't feeling too well but I am much better now! This was a quick card made with another digital stamp from http://www.allthatscraps.com/. I think she is a cute pixie hiding in the flowers. Used some scraps to make this card. Now that I have reorganized my scraps I use them all the time! I embossed the card and used my Nestibilities for the scalloped rectangular frame. Thanks for stopping today. I hope to be able to craft later. The cable guys are coming again because our newly installed Uverse is still messed up. Wish I would have never switched! Everything always has to become a project it seems! LOL. Have a great day & I will see you tomorrow!

Monday, Monday.... Hard to believe the weekend is over & it's time to start a new week all ready! I went to a used stamp sale on Saturday. It was fun but there weren't that many vendors. The weather was quite rainy earlier so I think that's why the turnout was poor. However I did manage to but a few things. This card wasn't made with one of them though! The sale was outside of a stamp store so of course we had to shop inside too! This stamp is by Stacy Stamps. He is so cute! You can't really tell from the picture but I stamped him twice and popped him up. I colored him with some new creme chalks I also got at the store. They are nice but are hard to use on smaller images. The flowers were from Michael's. I added a little clear glaze to his nose & to his eyes to make him look more life like. I ran the brown strip of paper through my big shot with the mosaic embossing folder by Cuttlebug. It matched the little squares of corn. Thanks for visiting today & I will see you soon.

Good Afternoon! Today is a great day. The weather is absolutely beautiful. There's a cool breeze & the sun is shining. We are having a very cool summer. Temps way below normal but I am enjoying it so much! I guess we have some HOT weather coming our way for the weekend. I feel bad for the people that are having a very hot hot summer and they say a lot of them don't have air conditioning. Makes me thankful for what I have! I was looking through my newest Card Maker magazine and saw an ice cream cone card. I thought it might look cute with Tilda on the front eating her ice cream. I think it turned out well. The "ice cream" was made with a shimmery paper and I added white gel pen stitch lines for an extra little accent. The cone was put through my Big Shot with an embossing folder for the "waffle cone" texture. I sponged some light brown ink for contrast. I added some sequins for "sprinkles". The card opens up. It is 2 cones joined at the top. A spiral clip & small scrap of ribbon finishes it off. Thanks for looking! TTFN!

Hello. Hope you are having a great day! The last few days have been rough around here and I have many decisions to make. I won't go into details because this is supposed to be my Happy Place! Life can just get so hard at times. I did get good news at Weight Watchers this morning. I lost another 1 1/2 lbs. for a total loss of 14 so far. It's a slow process but one that I think I can do! I have many more to lose but I think I am off to a good start! Today's card was made with a Stampavie image from Tina Wenke (available at 7kids college fund). It's a cute image..You all know I love cutesy! I colored it with my copics and added a little stickles & stardust glitter pen for some sparkle. I am trying to use up some of my big collection of scraps and I picked these and colored my image to match. Added a scrap of ribbon & a flower and Voila! a sweet little birthday card ready & waiting for a special some one's birthday. Thanks for visiting today and I will see you real soon!

It's Monday...a fresh new week. Let's hope this week goes better than the weekend! We had a new cable/ Internet pkg. installed on Thursday and we haven't been able to watch TV since. They are sending someone out this morning to see what the problem is. I hope they can figure it out because I had several very crabby people in the house because they weren't able to see their shows.
Today's card is my first try at a Tri Shutter card. I got the directions off of Splitcoast. I love how it turned out. It looks much better in person. The green paper I used has a leaf pattern softly embossed in it. I don't think you can see it to well in the pictures. I added some punched out flowers as well as some stickers to it. The white rickrack is a sticker too. I also added some small gems for some bling! The image is a Tilda stamp from Magnolia. You know how much I love my maggies! The ovals were cut out with my Nestibilities. Thanks for coming by today. I hope your day is wonderful & filled with sunshine!

Hello! It's another beautiful Saturday! The weather is just perfect! Today's card was a quick one using a stamp by Stampendous. I cut it out & layered it on scraps from my scrap bin. I stamped it again on a piece of green card stock and cut out just the hello. I popped it up to make it more of the focal point (all though it's hard to see that it the picture!) I colored it with my copics in colors to match the paper. I also used my clear glaze pen to add a little shine to the flowers. Quick, easy card...Thanks for paying me a visit today and have a wonderful weekend. Hope you have plans to relax or do something fun!

Hello ~ Happy Thursday! I am so excited today...I weighed in at Weight Watchers and I lost another 4.2 lbs!!! I really wasn't expecting it to be a loss that big. Usually it is 1-2 lbs.
Today's card features another Tilda from the Pet collection. Isn't she cute holding her kitty? I used my Nestibilities Dahlia set . The stitching was done with a white gel pen. My papers were from my scrap bin. Tilda was cut out & pop dotted up. Thanks for visiting & I will see you soon!
